The Kitsap County Board of Commissioners seeks community members with experience, passion for their community and a desire to improve the quality of life for all citizens. Applications are open for North Kitsap representatives to serve on the Parks Board, Kingston Citizens Advisory Council, Suquamish Citizens Advisory Committee and others!
Consider applying to one of the many Kitsap County advisory groups. Members are appointed by county commissioners to serve as conduits between citizens, communities, county staff and commissioners. They may also review grant applications, transportation and development plans or weigh-in on improvement projects. Applications are currently being accepted for the following:
Board of Equalization – (makes decisions on appeals to assessed property values - prefer those with experience as realtors or appraisers) North Kitsap, Central Kitsap and South Kitsap Representatives
Bremerton-Kitsap Access Television Advisory Committee – South Kitsap Representative
Commission on Children and Youth – Business, Military, Tribal, youth from Bremerton and North Kitsap school districts
Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board – North Kitsap Representative
Kingston Citizens Advisory Council– At-Large Representative
Manchester Citizens Advisory Committee – Nebraska Neighborhood Representative
Non-Motorized Facilities Citizens Advisory Committee – Central Kitsap Representative
Noxious Weed Control Board – South Kitsap Representative
Parks Advisory Board – North Kitsap Representatives
Planning Commission – District 3 (Central Kitsap) Representative
Suquamish Citizens Advisory Committee – At-Large Representatives
Washington State Ferries Advisory Committees – Representatives of Bainbridge Island and Southworth routes
