Join us for BPA Theatre School’s Spring Send-Off – a festive annual showcase bursting with theatrical attractions – and enjoy two short plays for the price of one. Performances will begin with the 2nd –8th grade productions of tales from Sherlock Holmes, and end with an original work devised by Teen Intensive students to showcase their talents!

The game is afoot as two distinct Sherlock Holmes productions tackle five of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most classic capers involving kings, carbuncles, and catalepsy. With our Teen Intensive workshop, what makes it to the stage is a mystery in and of itself, as our talented group of youths busily devise and improvise their way towards a performance that truly reflects the voices of its participants.

BPA Theatre School’s Spring Send-Off will uplift ‘kids’ of all ages, says Director of Education Pete Benson. “These kids are fearless. That’s one of the main reasons I love working with young people. They haven’t yet learned to be cautious. They share Holmes ‘love of all that is bizarre and outside the conventions and humdrum routine of daily life."

BPA Theatre School’s Winter Showcase appears Thursday and Friday, June 7th and 8th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets, $10 for adults and $5 for Seniors, Youth, Students, Military, and Teachers, may be purchased online at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org, by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island. About the Author

Bainbridge Performing Arts: since 1956, countless acts – large and small – have informed each production that graces the BPA stage. Collectively we have grown and reaped a communal bounty of grass-roots ARTivism, with people from all walks of life gathering under one roof to laugh, rage, and cry with friends, family, neighbors, and strangers. As heart strings are plucked in a drumbeat of connection, we turn to you in gratitude for the opportunity to bring a taste of magic to the community that we love!
